We recognise the value of support from others. Jarrah House welcomes the visitors you wish to see (they need to have your consent to visit, and our approval to visit).
Based on the experience of previous residents at Jarrah House, it is best to limit contact from friends and family for the first few days while you’re still experiencing withdrawal symptoms and settling into the program and routine. We therefore do not allow visitors until your fifth day at Jarrah House.
‘Zoom’ visits are available on Wednesday afternoon, and in-person visits on Saturdays between 10.00pm and 12.00pm or 2.00pm to 4.00pm. Alternative visiting arrangements may need to be made for children who are not staying with you. This will be coordinated by your Care Manager.
‘Visits’ can also be organized via Zoom, however, if Zoom is chosen then all visits that week will be by Zoom.
Specific indoor and outdoor areas are available for visits. Visitors are not permitted to wander around the premises or go to resident or staff areas, nor to leave and re-enter during a visit.
Gifts, mail or other items brought into Jarrah House must be pre-approved and will be inspected by staff on arrival. Visitors may bring food and refreshments for you, and any utensils or paper plates needed for the food needs to be brought in by your visitor.
Visitors will not be permitted to bring in soft drinks, energy drinks or nuts.
You can offer your visitors tea, coffee, and biscuits as supplied by Jarrah House (ie no cooking or preparing for visitors).
